The hotel chain Sol Melià celebrates it’s 50th jubilee. Thereby the Balearic Islands are paying homage to the founder and pesident Gabriel Escarrer i Julià with the highest award, the gold medal of the autonomic region, the Balearic Islands.

Sóller celebrates its festival "S'Alqueria des Compte" on the 12th september.

Sóller is an attractive place in the North-West of Majorca.

It is situated 3km away from its airport, Port de Sóller in a fertile valley which is formed like a bowl and is famous for its orange and olive gardens.

Pere Reus Morro, called Pere Seda, started to dedicate his life to wine already at the end of XIXth century. Since then, 5 generations of winemakers have been following this family tradition and have converted the winery that carry their name to a center of most modern technologies to produce wine.

Today Pere Seda in Manacor is posibly the only bodega on Majorca, where the same family has been producing wine during each and every year of the XXth and XXIst century...

Macià Batle, a vineyard included in the “denomination” of origin Binissalem, has been producing wine since 1856. Macià Batle cultivates mainly traditional grapes like Manto negro for red wine and Moll or Prensal for white wine. In 1996 the inheritors of the vineyard decided to continue the family tradition by building a new Bodega with the most modern technology to produce quality-tested wines.

In 2006 the Bodega was extended again under the direction of Sebastià Rubí and Ramon Servalls i Batle...

Since the middle of August and until the 30th of November, the authorised fishermen are allowed to catch the Golden mackerel. During this period, it can be found in the Mediterranean Sea and especially around the Balearic Islands.

The Majorcan name for the fish is Llampuga and during the mentioned period of time, various dishes with Golden mackerel can be found on the menus of the island’s restaurants...

A ride to the pass street of Sa Calobra may be a real challenge as well as an unforgettable experience. Right after passing the village of Escorca, one can see the abandoned Barracks of the Carrabinieri, standing lonely and forgotten in the middle of the landscape.

On the motorway Palma-Alcudia, the second exit behind Inca (Exit 37) leads you directly to “COVES” – the Caves of Campanet. There you´ll find a cosy bar with a marvellous terrace, the most beautiful view of the splendid Sant Miquel-Valley ad then of cource the most important: the Caves of Campanet, a geologic treasure.

Caves of Campanet extend to the total area of 3.200 m2 and 400 m of total length. The round tour takes about 40 min. and guides through numerous galleries and spacious halls, which cut themselves into the mesozoic lime.
